On the whole, this weekend is going to be all about the man known as Coach K. Mike Krzyzewski is heading into retirement after 42 years at Duke. For the past month, Coach K has been elevated into deity status by the college basketball media. Of course, no team and coach are as hated as Coach K and the Blue Devils. But as celebrated as Coach K is, he is not alone in coaching prowess with the Final Four lines. Jay Wright, Bill Self, and Hubert Davis deserve their due as quality leaders that engineered Final Four berths.

2022 Final Four Coaches
Hubert Davis – North Carolina Tar Heels
There is no greater sports betting challenge than following a legend. And that was the daunting task that Hubert Davis confronted this season as a rookie. Davis replaced the legendary Hall of Fame coach Roy Williams. Previously Davis played for the Tar Heels and was Williams’ top assistant. North Carolina struggled much of the year in transition. But in the regular season finale at Duke, the Tar Heels prevailed 94-81 as 11-point dogs. At that moment, the Davis era began in earnest. Spoiling Coach K’s final game at Cameron Indoor bonded Davis with the Carolina faithful.
Bill Self – Kansas Jayhawks
Despite problems with the 5-year FBI investigation hanging over his program, Bill Self can coach. Nobody disputes that fact. In fact, reaching the 2022 Final Four may be Self’s greatest coaching performance ever. Cause by the dark cloud of the FBI and NCAA, Self has had difficulty recruiting. Kansas once had its pick of the nation’s greatest players. Now Self has had to transform the Jayhawks into a developmental program.
Overall, Self has four Final Fours and one NCAA national championship. Self has nine Big 12 Tournament and 16 Big 12 regular seasons titles. He is a 2-time AP College Coach of the Year and 6-time Big 12 Coach of the Year. Self has 11 Elite Eights and 11 Sweet Sixteen berths at Kansas.
Jay Wright – Villanova Wildcats
A clear difference has been seen at Villanova with Jay Wright. Nova was a good program that won a Cinderella national championship in 1985. Wright has transformed the program into a national power. To summarize, Wright has changed the Wildcats program into a national power and new money blue blood. Wright has five Elite Eights and eight Sweet Sixteen berths at Villanova. Additionally, Wright has two Naismith National Coach of the Year awards and is a 6-time Big East and 2-time America East Coach of the Year awardee. Wright was named AP Coach of the Decade for the 2010s.
Mike Krzyzewski – Duke Blue Devils
Regardless of what is said about Coach K with the Final Four odds, it will never be enough. Mike Krzyzewski has five national championships, 13 Final Fours, 15 ACC Tournament, and 13 ACC regular season titles. He is a 3-time Naismith College Coach of the Year and a 5-time ACC Coach of the Year. Most important of all to Coach K is his three Gold Medals as the United States Olympic head coach. He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001.
