Connecticut 11-2 but 0-2 on the Road
The Huskies have won 11 games this season but they have not played well on the road losing both of their true road games.  It won’t get any easier on Saturday against a tough Texas team. The Huskies have slumped a little bit but they still have a great guard in Kemba Walker who can take over a game at anytime. The problem for the Huskies is in the frontcourt where they don’t have a lot of depth.  It is also questionable how much talent they have up front.  Alex Oriakhi has some ability but he is still inconsistent. Against Notre Dame the front line of Oriakhi, Charles Okwandu, and Tyler Olander did very little. In UConn’s last three games, Oriakhi, Okwandu, and Olander have combined for 14 points and 10 rebounds.  That is simply not going to get the job done.

Texas 12-2 including 9-0 at Home
The Longhorns are looking more and more like a team that can do some serious damage come tournament time.  Jordan Hamilton is a star and the Longhorns have a lot of talent surrounding him. Hamilton is averaging almost 20 points per game this season for Texas.  The Longhorns are getting solid play out of freshmen Cory Joseph and Tristan Thompson and Dogus Balbay is playing well at the point.  Texas has already beaten Michigan State, North Carolina and Arkansas this season.  Balbay has said that the biggest difference between this year’s team and last year’s team is chemistry.  When a team is talented and they like each other they are a team to watch and to wager on.

Longhorns 7-2 ATS
Not only is Texas winning games straight up they are also covering the spread.  Texas really is coming together and you want to be giving them a serious look every time they are on the board.  Unless Kemba Walker goes off for a monster game on Saturday then Texas should add another impressive win to their resume.
