Wednesday College Basketball Betting – Purdue at Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech is a slight favorite in college basketball betting on Wednesday as they host Purdue in a game that can be seen on ESPN.

This game is part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge and it figures to be a very competitive one.
Purdue is 5-1 on the season but they have yet to beat a quality team. The Hokies are 4-2 straight up this season but a poor 1-3-1 against the college basketball lines at Sbg global.com.

Purdue’s Top Two
The Boilermakers have two of the top players in the country in E’Twaun Moore and JaJuan Johnson. Moore is averaging 20.8 points per game while Johnson is averaging over 16 points per game. The problem for Purdue is that they don’t have a third option. Robbie Hummel is out for the season and Purdue really misses him. The Boilermakers do play good defense and that should keep them in this game. Opponents are shooting just 38.7% against Purdue.  They have forced their opponents into a total of 115 turnovers in six games this season.

Hokies Lack Offense
This should be a low scoring game since Virginia Tech doesn’t have much offense either. They have nothing inside and Purdue could have a lot of success on the boards.  Virginia Tech does play defense though and they are at home so this game should be tight all night long.
