Thursday College Basketball Odds – Arizona State at Baylor on ESPN 2

Tenth-ranked Baylor is favored on Thursday in college basketball odds at SBG as they host Arizona State in a game that can be seen on ESPN 2.

The Bears ranking at #10 is tied for the highest in school history.  Arizona State is 3-2 this season but really has not played that well. It may not get any better on Thursday in college basketball betting against a talented Baylor team.

This game is part of the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series and the Bears are 2-1 in the series. This is the third straight season that ASU and Baylor will meet. The Bears lead the all-time series 3-2.

Baylor 5-0 SU, 1-0 ATS
The Bears have not played anyone of note so far this season and only one of their games has even been on the board.  They beat LaSalle in their only lined game but didn’t cover the spread.   The Bears have won their last ten games at home which is one win shy of tying their Ferrell Center record of 11 in a row which they set last season.

Last Meeting
The Bears rallied to win last year 64-61 against Arizona State in Tempe.  Two years ago the Bears upset ASU when they were ranked 14th.  The Bears are loaded with talent led by senior LaceDarius Dunn. The Bears also have a front line of Quincy Acy, Anthony Jones and Perry Jones. They have combined to average 39.4 points, 26.2 rebounds and 3.8 blocks through Baylor’s first five games.

ASU is in the middle of a six-game stretch to start the year that has them playing at home just once. That has made it tough on the Sun Devils but sophomore Trent Lockett is playing well. He had a career-high 22 points in the season opener at New Mexico and topped that with a new career-high with 24 points vs. Weber State.

Thursday Numbers
The Sun Devils are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Thursday games. The Sun Devils are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 non-conference games. The Sun Devils are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. the Big 12. The Sun Devils are 0-7 against the college basketball odds in their last 7 games overall. The Bears are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 non-conference games.
