Thursday College Basketball Odds – UCLA at Kansas

Fourth-ranked Kansas is heavily favored in college basketball odds on Thursday as they host UCLA.

This sounds like a great matchup but Kansas has the better team as UCLA is still very young. And no one wins on the road at Kansas.  KU is laying big points in this game against the Bruins that can be seen on ESPN 2.

UCLA was a very poor 14-18 last season as they struggled with a lot of young players. It is a little better this year but the Bruins are still not up to the level of Kansas. UCLA is 3-2 on the season but at least they were competitive in losses to Villanova and VCU. UCLA is on their way back after last season’s disaster and Ben Howland is an excellent coach.  The Bruins are led by Reeves Nelson who averages 17.6 points per game and they have highly recruited players like Joshua Smith and Tyler Honeycutt.

Kansas Brothers
The Jayhawks are led by twins Marcus and Markieff Morris who combine to average 31.3 points per game.  Kansas has a very balanced offense and UCLA has not played any defense this season. Kansas is 6-0 this season and they are also 3-1 against the point spread including 2-0 at home in college basketball betting.  The Jayhawks are fourth in the country in points per game so they could have a big game against the UCLA defense.
