Namely, Villanova is a brand unlike any other in the Big East Conference. Causal gamblers lack familiarity with the Big East. Sharps dominate Big East betting action with the College Basketball lines. Of course, Villanova’s two recent national championships play into all of this. Coach Jay Wright feeds into this as one of the best and most stylish coaches in the game. Creighton is not as well known but a consistent winner. Following that is a logjam of decent teams that aren’t dominant. Villanova has won four of the last five Big East tournaments, including three in a row.

Villanova Wildcats (16-4 SU, 11-8-1 ATS, 11-9 O/U)
Despite their name-brand status, Villanova has been able to maintain sports betting value. Since 2016 the Wildcats have covered close to 60-percent of their games. That is a remarkable testament to their consistency on the board. Late on, the Wildcats lost two of their last five on the board. Forward Jeremiah Robinson Earl leads the Wildcats with 15.4 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Guards Collin Gillespie and Justin Moore are both over 13 points per contest.
Creighton Blue Jays (17-7 SU, 10-14 ATS, 11-12 O/U)
On the whole, Creighton is consistently one of the best offensive teams in the land. Coach Greg McDermott was recently suspended for telling his players to stay on the “plantation.” His status for the Big East Tournament is uncertain. In turn, Creighton has been wildly inconsistent with the College basketball lines. Guards Marcus Zegarowski and Denzel Mahoney are both over 13 points per game. Creighton has five players averaging double-digits for scoring.
Connecticut Huskies (13-6 SU, 14-4-1 ATS, 11-12 O/U)
UConn has been a hidden gem on the board this season. Coach Dan Hurley has methodically improved what was a shell of a program at his arrival in 2018. Late on, the Huskies have gotten the money in five of their last six games. The defense is the bedrock of Connecticut’s success. UConn ranks 41st out of 350 teams for points allowed. Guard James Bouknight leads with 20.1 points per game.
Seton Hall Pirates (13-11 SU, 12-12 ATS, 11-13 O/U)
Seton Hall has been in free fall with five losses to the line in their last six games. Specifically, forward Sandro Mamukelashvili has carried the Pirates with 17.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. Coach Kevin Willard produced five straight 20-plus win seasons before this one. On the whole, this is a team without an identifiable strength.
Xavier Musketeers (13-5 SU, 10-9 ATS, 11-7 O/U)
Recently the Musketeers have failed to pay in four of their last six games. Third-year coach Travis Steele has had a breakthrough campaign on the hardwood. Although the results at the payout window are lagging. Forward Zach Freemantle leads with 16.7 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.
St. John’s Red Storm (15-10 SU, 14-11 ATS, 15-9 O/U)
Second-year coach Mike Anderson has developed one of the country’s top offenses. Offsetting that is one of the worst defenses in the land. Guard Julian Champagnie leads the Johnnies with 19.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
