At the onset of the college basketball season was Gonzaga a hot pick. Gamblers have long respected the Bulldogs as a perennial contender. Coach Mark Few may have his best squad yet. And a recent win over Iowa was an exclamation point on the Zags’ potential. Extending the March Madness betting favorites is Baylor. Coach Scott Drew’s Bears were seen as a likely Final Four team in 2019-20. So too were Baylor’s Big 12 rival Kansas considered top tier. Coach Bill Self’s program always carries such status. Bargain hunters believe that March Madness is often about surprising Cinderella teams.

2021 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship SBG Odds Overview
On this occasion, we’re reminded that college basketball is a name brand sport. Gonzaga, Villanova, Kansas, Michigan State, Duke, and North Carolina are examples. And then so is Kentucky and UCLA. But the Wildcats and Bruins are losing offshore betting favor. Kentucky remains overpriced as a team not matching expectations. Sharps and bargain hunters love that good teams at better prices are available.
Gonzaga Bulldogs
Six wins in their first six games added to Gonzaga’s price with the March Madness odds. Namely Auburn, Kansas, and Iowa lost to the Zags. Gonzaga boasted the nation’s third-ranked scoring offense. Of great concern is a traditionally soft defense. Gonzaga rarely fares well in the NCAA Tournament. Thus, sharps won’t want to pay the heavy price. Consider that the Zags were only 3-3 vs. the odds. Overlays will be a value factor all season.
Villanova Wildcats
Coach Jay Wright has emerged as perhaps the best in the country. Extending that is his sharp dress and cool demeanor. Wright has shown the uncanny ability to adapt. Villanova jumped out to an 8-1 start on the season. And was 6-3 against the spread. Jeremiah Robinson Earl is one of the country’s top stars. To show, Earl, averages 16.2 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.
Baylor Bears
First-time shoppers on Baylor were impressed in 2019-20. So far that has carried over to 2020-21. Baylor won its first six games straight up. Most important of all it got the money all six times too. Scott Drew’s Bears are vastly improved on offense. Defensively they’re solid as a rock as always. Baylor posted a name brand win over Illinois in the early going.
Iowa Hawkeyes
Coach Fran McCaffery’s team is arguably the most exciting in the country. Starting with a 7-1 record have gamblers taken notice. In like manner, the Hawkeyes covered six of those games on the board. Iowa ranks second nationally for scoring offense. And boasts the best player in the country. To illustrate Luke Garza averages 28.4 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.
Kentucky Wildcats
Of major concern is that coach John Calipari is being tuned out. Players are refusing to apply themselves. As a result, the Wildcats opened 1-5 straight up and 2-4 against the spread. Caveat Emptor.
