March Madness Odds Movement at SBG Global

March odds movement occurs for a variety of reasons.  You will see injuries move the March Madness betting line.  You will see syndicates bet a game and move the odds.  You will also see sportsbooks move the March Madness betting line on their own accord.  This last March odds line move is difficult to identify but it happens because a sportsbook has an opinion on the game and may be enticing action one way or another.  The betting syndicate March Madness betting line move is easy enough to understand because a group of bettors sees a weak line and bets accordingly.  This causes the March Madness odds to move everywhere.  There are not as many of these wise guy groups as in years past, but they still exist, and they still do move the March Madness odds.  If you were not already aware, sportsbooks are very often their own betting syndicate.  Sportsbooks very often bet the games on their own.  This is not a well known practice but a few sportsbooks do bet the games with other sportsbooks if they have strong opinions.  It is sometimes difficult to determine why the March Madness odds are moving but you can be more aware of the reasons.

The best thing you can do is to be aware of the March odds movement but not to completely overreact to it.  There are so many times when the March odds move during the day and people try to understand exactly why they moved.  What these people don’t realize is that just because a line moved does not mean the March Madness betting line move will be a winner.  If every single line move won the sportsbooks would get buried.  As we all know, that doesn’t happen.  It is definitely interesting to track and follow March odds moves, but we need to really be aware to not blindly follow them.  If you don’t remember anything else about line moves remember this.  Line moves happen for various reasons but they don’t always win.  In fact, a lot of the time they don’t.  Don’t put your trust and faith in March odds moves as a way to make money.  Monitor the line moves but don’t put too much faith in them.
