March Madness on the Pac-10 Tournament is going to be far different this season than in past years. The winner of the tournament is going to get the automatic NCAA Tourney bid as always but it could be that is the only team that gets a bid. That should make for some exciting action in March Madness lines in the Pac-10 Tourney.
March Madness betting has California as the favorite to win the Pac-10 Tournament and they are probably the only team that can make a case for getting an NCAA Tournament at-large bid if they don’t win the conference tournament. The Bears really don’t want to leave it to the selection committee though so they would like to get the automatic bid. It may not be easy with other teams fighting for an NCAA Tournament berth. Arizona State is the hottest team and the one with a chance to get a bid if they can win at least a couple games in the Pac-10 tourney. Derek Glasser is playing well and the Sun Devils are capable of winning this tournament in March Madness betting.
Washington is the other team to watch in March Madness betting in the Pac-10 tourney. They were expected to be a much better team than they have been but they can still get into the NCAA Tourney with a good run this week. Washington has the talent to win the Pac-10 Tournament and get the automatic bid. It could be that Arizona State and Washington meet in the semifinals on Friday with the winner staying alive for NCAA Tourney consideration and the loser going out.
Washington State has collapsed lately and now their only chance of getting into the NCAA Tournament is by winning the Pac-10 Tourney and that doesn’t seem likely. UCLA is still a high profile program but they have had a poor year and even winning the Pac-10 Tournament seems like a huge longshot in March Madness lines even with the conference in a down season.
Wednesday’s opener in the Pac-10 tourney has Oregon facing Washington State. The Quarterfinals on Thursday in March Madness betting have the winner of that game taking on California with the other games being Arizona vs. UCLA, Washington vs. Oregon State and Arizona State vs. Stanford. The semifinals will be Friday with the Championship game televised by CBS on Saturday.
