Mississippi Rebels at Kentucky NCAA Basketball Betting

NCAA basketball betting favors fourth-ranked Kentucky on Tuesday as they host Mississippi in a game that can be seen on ESPN. The Wildcats dropped four spots in the AP Poll after losing to South Carolina.  Kentucky still only has one loss on the season though and they are well respected in college basketball betting.

NCAA basketball betting had the Wildcats winning on Saturday, 85-72 over Villanova.  Kentucky bounced back very nicely from the loss to South Carolina. “No comparison,” said guard DeAndre Liggins, “You never want to say a loss is good, but the loss we took made us work harder, made us come back more determined, and I thought it showed in the way we bounced back.”

Mississippi comes into Tuesday’s NCAA basketball betting contest ranked 25th in the country after losing to Arkansas.  They are solid underdogs against a focused Kentucky team.  “I think we’ll be ready,” said Liggins, “Like Vanderbilt, they’re another very good basketball team. We were ready for the challenge (against Vandy), and if we learned anything from the South Carolina game we’ll be ready again against Mississippi.” The Wildcats have an extra advantage in this game as Mississippi’s starting center is still out with an injury.  He missed Saturday’s loss against Arkansas the Rebels were brutalized inside.  The Razorbacks simply went inside at every opportunity and routed the Rebels.

Mississippi has been very solid in NCAA basketball betting on the road. They are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games. In SEC games, the Rebels are 4-1 ATS in their last five games.  The problem for Mississippi in college basketball betting is that they are just 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Kentucky.

Kentucky has been solid at home as they are 4-1 vs. the NCAA basketball betting line in their last 5 home games. They are still struggling though against SEC teams overall, as they are 6-13 vs. the college basketball betting odds in their last 19 games.

Four of the last five Mississippi games have gone under in NCAA basketball betting. 10 of their last 14 on the road have gone under.  Kentucky is more of a high scoring team as seven of their last eight at home have gone over the NCAA basketball betting total. In this series though at Kentucky, three of the last four have gone under in college basketball betting.
