Syracuse at Cincinnati College Basketball Betting

College basketball betting favors third-ranked Syracuse on Sunday as they visit Cincinnati in Big East action. The Orange are off to their best start ever at 22-1 and they are coming off an 85-68 win in NCAA basketball betting on Tuesday as they defeated Providence. Here is a look at this matchup on Sunday between Syracuse and Cincinnati.

College basketball betting had the Orange getting 23 points from Kris Joseph on Tuesday in the win over Providence.  Arinze Onuaku added 20 points and seven rebounds. Syracuse has won four of the six all-time meetings against Cincinnati and they are 4-2 against the NCAA basketball betting odds.  Last year it was Syracuse rolling 87-63 at home against the Bearcats.  Two years ago the Bearcats won at home in college basketball betting over Syracuse by a score of 74-66. That was the only home win Cincinnati has gotten against Syracuse in this series.

The Orange is 14-5 this season against the college basketball betting odds and that is one of the best records in the country. Syracuse is also a profitable 4-1 against the NCAA basketball betting line in road games this season.  Syracuse is 5th in the country on offense, averaging 82.5 points per game.  Wesley Johnson leads a very balanced the Orange team in scoring. With such a prolific offense it would seem that the Orange would go over the college basketball betting total a lot but in fact they have gone under in all five of their road games this season.

Cincinnati is capable of winning games but they sure have struggled against the NCAA basketball betting pointspread. They have a very poor record against the number and it is particularly bad at home.  The Bearcats are a terrible 1-6 at home this season vs. the college basketball betting odds.  Cincinnati has trouble shooting the ball and far too often that poor shooting ends up costing them either in straight up victories or in point spread covers.  Four of Cincinnati’s six home games this season have gone over the college basketball betting total.

Not many people will be giving Cincinnati much of a chance in this game but at least the Bearcats are playing at home.  Both teams could be a little distracted since it is Super Bowl Sunday but Syracuse is playing so well right now it seems unlikely they will look past Cincinnati on Sunday.
