UNC beats Louisville in ACC tournament

March Madness Betting is in full swing yesterday the sparks flew in the ACC tournament when the University of North Carolina defeated Rick Pitino’s Louisville Cardinals 70-60, advancing to the ACC semifinals to face Virginia. The Tar Heels found in Brice Johnson a leader in offense that guided them on a convincing victory that will help them seek vengeance on the Duke Blue Devils.

The Cardinals had to deal with a partisan crowd of Tar Heel fans that evoked memories of his days in the Big East facing Syracuse. The energized North Carolina fans pushed their team and filled the Greensboro Coliseum (an hour away from Chapel Hill) and made it seem like it was a home game for the Tar Heels. But this is what March Madness betting is all about: loud crowds and exciting basketball action on the court.

After yesterday’s game, one could wonder if this is the resurgence of the Tar Heels in this season. Their inconsistencies and the heart breaking losses they had might just have been motivators and lessons for them as they reach the final instances where everything is on the line. They are a locked in team (as well as Louisville) to be in the NCAA tournament, and if they start to peak now, it is perhaps the best time to do it.

The Tar Heels are now two games away of getting their 26th ACC tournament, however their next opponent is a very complicated one: The Virginia Cavaliers. Perhaps, one of the only teams in all College basketball that is considered of being a real threat to Kentucky’s run for the National Championship. If the Tar Heels really want to make put the Madness in March Madness Betting, scoring a big win against the Cavaliers might just do that for them.
