People looking at football odds know that Navy faces a more difficult schedule in 2007 that includes road games at Rutgers, Pitt and Notre Dame. Army was a 3-9 straight up last year and disappointed college football betting fans most of the season. Those that look at football betting odds know that the Black Knights were 9-25 under Bobby Ross who resigned in the off-season. Football odds players see that offensive line coach Stan Brock, a 16-year NFL veteran offensive tackle who played two seasons for Ross with the Chargers, was promoted to succeed him.

College football betting players know that Charlie Weiss has led the Fighting Irish to a 19-6 record in his first two seasons as head coach, but both seasons ended in big BCS bowl losses (34-20 to Ohio State in the 2005 Fiesta Bowl, and 41-14 to LSU in last year’s Sugar). Football odds players know that Notre Dame has not won a bowl game since the 1993 Cotton Bowl. College football betting players see that the two losses in the regular season last year were similar blowouts as the Irish lost 47-21 to Michigan and 44-24 to USC. All three Notre Dame losses last year were by margins of 20-to-27 points against the football betting odds. Football odds players know that the 2007 schedule for Notre Dame is difficult as always but at least the USC game is at home. The opener against Georgia Tech is a football odds toss-up; the games at Penn State and at Michigan will be tough. Football odds players know that they should win at home against Michigan State and possibly at Purdue. College football betting players know that the game at UCLA could go either way against the football odds. They should beat Boston College at home then host USC before winnable games against Navy, Air Force, Duke and Stanford.

College football betting players know that Navy lost a lot of starters but has a favorable schedule so they should make a bowl game again. They have winnable games against Temple, Ball State, Duke and Delaware. They have football odds toss up games where all they need to do is split against Air Force, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, and Northern Illinois. If they can pull off an upset then even a 7 win season is possible. Football odds players know that Army is in trouble again. The schedule helps a little bit so perhaps they can avoid a season of disaster.
