University of Wyoming Football will once again be playing postseason football in Tucson, AZ. On Sunday, Barstool Sports announced that Wyoming will be playing Toledo in the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl on December 30. Wyoming will be playing in a bowl game for the third straight year and for the sixth time in the last eight seasons. The Pokes are 3-2 in Bowl games under Craig Bohl. Toledo is in the midst of their best season since 2017 where they finished 11-3. The Arizona Bowl will be the Rockets’ third straight College Football Betting Bowl matchup.

Arizona Bowl Format
The Arizona Bowl was founded in 2015 and has current tie-ins to the Mountain West Conference and Mid-American Conference. It is one of the few bowl games not under the ESPN umbrella, and that has led to some trouble with finding a broadcast home. The CW currently broadcasts the Arizona Bowl after previously being on the Barstool Network. This matchup is the second bowl game to take place in Tucson, as the city was previously home to the Copper Bowl before it moved to Phoenix.

The 2021 Arizona Bowl was canceled. Previously, Ball State dealt MWC champion San Jose State its first loss of the season in the 2020 Arizona Bowl. The Cardinals jumped out to a 27-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back in a 34-13 win. This was a mistake-prone game, with San Jose State throwing four interceptions and Ball State fumbling twice in the win. Next, in 2022, Ohio of the AMC won a close sportsbook contest against Wyoming.

The only team to win the Arizona Bowl twice is Nevada. The Wolfpack won the inaugural edition of this bowl game over Colorado State, and they knocked off Arkansas State in overtime in 2018.
