Ball State at Western Michigan College Football Betting

College football betting favors Western Michigan on Tuesday as they host Ball State in a game that can be seen on ESPN 2. The Broncos are 10-point NCAA football betting favorites in this prime time contest. NCAA football betting has seen both teams struggle this season.  Ball State has won only a single game outright but they do have five pointspread covers vs. the NCAA football betting odds.  Western Michigan has five wins straight up this season but they are a very poor 3-8 against the NCAA football betting lines. Western Michigan has Tim Hiller at quarterback and he is worth watching. He has 98 career passing TDs and is just three short of breaking the MAC record held by Chad Pennington.  He is just 105 passing yards from joining Ben Roethlisberger, Chad Pennington and Byron Leftwich as the only quarterbacks in MAC history to throw for 3,000 yards in three straight seasons.

Western Michigan needs a win in this NCAA football betting contest to become bowl eligible. The Broncos are looking for their first win over Ball State since winning 41-27 on the road in college football betting on Oct. 21, 2006.

Ball State has been a good team to take when they are on the road getting points. The Cardinals are 16-5 in college football betting in their last 21 games as a road underdog. They have also played well in November in terms of NCAA football betting. The Cardinals are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games in November. The Cardinals are 4-1 in college football betting in their last 5 meetings against Western Michigan.

Western Michigan doesn’t have good numbers in NCAA football betting. The Broncos are 6-14-1 ATS in their last 21 conference games. The Broncos are 5-13 in college football betting in their last 18 games as a favorite. The Broncos are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall.

The last five times Ball State was getting points their games went under in NCAA football betting.  9 of the last 11 Ball State games in November have gone under. 8 of their last 10 road games have gone under.  Five of the last seven Western Michigan home games have gone under the college football betting total. The only thing that might point to an over in college football betting is that four of the last five in this series have gone over.
