NCAA Football Betting – BC vs. Nevada in Sunday’s Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl

We get Sunday night football this week but it is NCAA football betting instead of NFL betting.

ESPN will be televising the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl as Boston College takes on Nevada Reno.  The Wolf Pack are 7.5 point favorites but you can make a strong case for taking Boston College plus the points with your college football bet at Sbgglobal.

Power vs. Power
This is a fascinating matchup on Sunday night because Nevada has the fourth best rushing offense in the country while Boston College had the best run defense. Not many teams can stop Nevada’s pistol offense but if anyone can, it should be Boston College. Nevada is led by quarterback Colin Kaepernick and running back Vai Taua. Kaepernick threw for 20 TDs and rushed for 20 touchdowns.  Taua had 22 rushing TDs which were tied with Oregon’s LaMichael James for the most in the nation. It will be interesting to see how Kaepernick and Taua do against the BC defense that allowed just 80.2 yards per game.  BC is led by linebackers Mark Herzlich and Luke Kuechly. Herzlich is a fantastic story as he came back after undergoing chemotherapy while Kuechly led the country with 171 tackles.

BC Offense vs. Nevada Defense
BC can also run the ball as they have Montel Harris and Andre Williams.   Nevada’s strength on defense was against the run so if BC is to pull off the upset they will likely have to throw the ball and that was a problem at times for Boston College this season.
