Bet College Football – Ticket City Bowl – Northwestern vs. Texas Tech

Bet College Football – Ticket City Bowl – Northwestern vs. Texas Tech.  New Year’s Day kicks off with the Dallas Ticket City Bowl and you can bet college football at Sbg global on this matchup between Northwestern and Texas Tech. This game may go under the radar of most gamblers in NCAA betting with the game being shown on ESPN U.  It could have a lot of points though and might be fun to watch.

Texas Tech -9.5, total 60.5
The Red Raiders are heavy favorites in this game, in large part because Northwestern’s starting quarterback is out.  Dan Persa was the Northwestern offense and it is tough to make a case for them as you bet college football without him under center.  It is too bad he is not playing because the Wildcats are normally a live underdog. They easily covered their last two bowl games.  Backup quarterback Evan Watkins will have had a lot of time to prepare for this game so perhaps the Wildcats will be better. Northwestern is going to have to score points to stay with Texas Tech because there will not be much defense in this game.

Home Crowd Edge
With the game in Dallas you can figure the Red Raiders will have a big edge in crowd support.  The Red Raiders will be throwing it all over the field as they were eighth in the country in passing offense and 16th in the nation in total offense.  The problem for Texas Tech was a defense that was 116th in total defense. Look for both teams to be throwing at will.  Texas Tech quarterback Taylor Potts finished third in the country in passing.
