The SEC East title is on the line this week as South Carolina is at Florida in a game that should get some great action from those gamblers who bet college football. The game is at night and on ESPN and the winning team will play in the SEC title game next month. It sounds like a good one doesn’t it?
Florida -6.5, total 51.5 at Sbg global
The Gators are almost a touchdown favorite in this game. That would have seemed laughable a month ago but Florida is playing very well of late while South Carolina comes in off a bad loss to Arkansas. The question to answer is whether or not last week’s South Carolina loss was just a letdown or whether the Gamecocks are collapsing again under Steve Spurrier.
Can South Carolina Bounce Back?
The Gamecocks were humiliated on their own field last week in a loss to Arkansas. It is sometimes tough for a team to come back from a bad loss. Spurrier has called out his team this week after last week’s performance. The Gamecocks have everything to play for this week as they have never won the Eastern Division of the SEC but do they have any confidence left?
Chris Rainey is the Difference
The difference in Florida is redshirt junior receiver Chris Rainey. He was suspended earlier this season and Florida had no offense. He came back for the Georgia game and had 241 all-purpose yards and Florida won. He had almost as many all-purpose yards last week in the rout of Vanderbilt. He has turned the Florida offense into a serious threat. He is the difference maker in this game and the reason Florida will likely win on Saturday.
