Bet on College Football – Virginia Tech at North Carolina on ABC

Virginia Tech has been a very good team to take when you bet on college football as the Hokies have won their last seven games and covered the college football betting point spread in six of those contests. The Hokies are favored on the road this Saturday at North Carolina in a game that will be shown on ABC.

Virginia Tech -3.5, total 51.5 at Sbg global
The Hokies are laying points on the road in this contest.  Virginia Tech could clinch a spot in the ACC title game if they defeat North Carolina and if Miami loses to Georgia Tech. The Hokies are the only unbeaten team in the conference while the Tar Heels are 3-2.

Hokies without Wilson
It is rare when a kick returner makes a big impact but Virginia Tech’s David Wilson leads the ACC in kick returns and has scored twice.  He is also second on the team with seven total touchdowns.  He will miss this week’s game as he is suffering from mononucleosis. The Hokies may still be able to beat North Carolina but they will have to find another way to win.  The Hokies need more out of quarterback Tyrod Taylor. He didn’t play well last week but overall he does lead the team in rushing with 584 yards and he is normally a good passer. He has not played well in his career against the Tar Heels with no passing TDs and three interceptions.

Tar Heels
North Carolina is coming off a 37-35 win over Florida State last week as T.J. Yates threw for 439 yards and three TDs. It has been a miraculous season in many respects for Carolina as they have survived suspensions and injuries to win games.
