2023 Clemson Tigers Preview
Clemson’s 11-3 online betting record in 2022 marked the program’s 12th consecutive season of double-digit victories. At the onset, Klubnik is Clemson’s undisputed starter for 2023 as a true sophomore. His top offensive weapons include junior running back Will Shipley. Consider that Shipley produced 15 rushing touchdowns and 125 all-purpose yards per game. Also, sophomore wide receiver Antonio Williams had a team-high 604 receiving yards with four touchdowns. And then junior tight end Jake Briningstool added 285 yards and four TDs. How frustrating can an 11-3 season, an ACC championship, and a New Year’s Six bowl be? Enough for Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney to fire longtime staffer and friend Brandon Streeter after one season as offensive coordinator.
Accordingly, Clemson’s splashy hiring of Riley clarified that anything short of returning to the four-team field in 2023 would be a disappointment. The Tigers have the raw talent on their roster to contend.
