College Football BCS Bowl Matchups

College football BCS matchups begin with the National Championship game between LSU and Ohio State. The Tigers are the favorite in the game, despite the fact that Ohio State is ranked #1 in the polls and in the college football BCS rankings. NCAA football BCS games really focus on the big five BCS bowl games.  In addition to the college football BCS National Championship game, the other BCS bowl games are the Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl and Fiesta Bowl.  The college football BCS title game has the potential to be a good one as LSU is about a 5.5 point favorite.  The Orange Bowl may also be competitive as Virginia Tech is a 4 point choice against Kansas.  The Rose Bowl has one of the bigger BCS bowl games betting lines as USC is a hefty 13.5 point favorite against Illinois.

College football BCS action is fun to watch throughout the bowl season with many fans watching the BCS bowl games on New Year’s Day.  The Rose Bowl and the Sugar Bowl are the two college football BCS games on New Year’s Day.  The Fiesta Bowl is played the following day with the Orange Bowl played two days later.  The Fiesta Bowl has the potential to be an excellent game as West Virginia with exciting quarterback Pat White and excellent running back Steve Slaton face and Oklahoma team that could be the college football BCS winner next year.

College football BCS action in the Orange Bowl has Kansas facing Virginia Tech.  The Jayhawks probably don’t belong in a college football BCS game but someone from the Orange Bowl liked them and they were picked over a much more deserving Missouri team that beat them during the regular season.  The Jayhawks will face a Virginia Tech team that has a solid defense and is well coached.  The Sugar Bowl has undefeated Hawaii facing a Georgia team playing perhaps the best football in the country.  The Bulldogs are a 10 point favorite in that BCS bowl games action.
