Florida Gators 2014 season preview

With the start of the NCAA FB Regular season approaching we take a look at the University of Florida Gators an important member of the South Eastern Conference who in 2013 in the SEC finished with a overall record of 4-8 and SEC record of 3-5 under their head Coach Will Muschamp with  seven offensive and seven defensive starters returning.

This 2014 season the Gators will be seeking a comeback with everyone watching junior QB Driskel who started the 1st three games last season and then had a season ending injury.  That can be an important factor for fans who Bet on College football throughout the season.

The Junior QB Driskell as a starter was 12-3 and has thrown some 14 touchdowns compiling 2,271 yards while being intercepted some 10 times. He is one of the Gators returning seven offensive players who as the team in 2013 had a disappointing 4-8 season.

Additionally on offense they have great depth with three RB’s that all had 330 plus yards last season and leading that group was Mack Brown.  On the offensive line they have a group that had 66 career starts anchored by Senior Chaz Green, who missed all of the 2013 season.

Those that Bet on College remind your handicappers at you favorite offshore sportbook that the Florida Gators could have one of the best defensive stop units in the SEC and NCAA football with seven crucial defensive players returning for the 2014 season.  Also they very likely have two of the best defensive ends in the country in returning Dante Fowler and Jonathan Bullard, and most of their linebacker team returns including the No. 1 tackler Michael Taylor.

Their sophomore defensive back who made the Third team All-American as a freshman, Vernon Hargreaves III also ranked second in the SEC defending passes and was tied for seventh in that league with seven in total last season.

Always a big game for any SEC team will be the Florida Gators taking on the always ranked Alabama Crimson Tide on the 20th of September in Week four at Tuscaloosa, Alabama and the Gators are expected to have a 3-0 record at that time. 3-0 as they played the Idaho Vandals, the Eastern Michigan Eagles and the Kentucky Wildcats.  After an open date they play the Volunteers of Tennessee followed by two home games with two tough Tiger opponents in the LSU Tigers and the Missouri Tigers both of SEC game.   Then another open date, then plays the Georgia Bulldogs in the Jacksonville, the Vanderbilt Commodores on the road, next the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Eastern Kentucky Colonels at home in the Swamp. Then they travel to Tallahassee to take on the reigning National Champions Florida State Seminoles and end their regular season schedule.

With this very challenging schedule for 2014 their Coach Muschamp seems confident, and states the health of the team is always a key issue and they would like to set their goal this season in landing a spot in the inaugural college football playoffs games.
