Florida at Tennessee SBG Odds Overview

Florida wowed the nation with its week one win over Utah. But their loss to Kentucky reminded them why they changed coaches last year. And it served to scare off online wagering action. By contrast, Tennessee has drawn much attention from sharps and squares alike.

Tennessee is one of the hot new brands on the college football board. Indeed, the Vols are resurgent under head coach Josh Heupel. This start is the most impressive that the Volunteers have looked in several years. And Vols nation is feeling it. Florida impressed a lot of gamblers in their season-opening win over Utah. But that goodwill was forfeited in their loss to Kentucky.

Florida Gators Team Overview

Last game, the Florida Gators escaped 31-28 against the USF Bulls as 23-point favorites. The game went over the total of 58. Florida has a record of 2-1 straight up, 1-2 against the spread, and 2-1 over/under the total.
Trevor Etienne’s 3-yard touchdown run followed Tre’Vez Johnson’s fourth-quarter interception. Thus, the 18th-ranked Gators held off South Florida in the Swamp on Saturday night. USF’s Spencer Shrader missed a 49-yard field goal with 23 seconds left that likely would have sent the game into overtime. But Shrader had little chance of making the kick after holder Andrew Beardall dropped the ball while trying to get it set.

Nonetheless, the back-and-forth game will be remembered mostly for Anthony Richardson’s miscues. And the Gators’ inability to stop the run against a huge underdog. USF entered the game losing 19 of 23 under third-year coach Jeff Scott.

Of great concern was that Richardson was off for the second straight game. He completed 10 of 18 passes for 112 yards and two interceptions. Hence, it was the second straight game that Richardson did more harm than good for Florida. He threw two interceptions last week against Kentucky.
Richardson was hoping to rebound against South Florida. Instead, he left some Florida fans questioning whether he’s a long-term solution under center.

Tennessee Volunteers Team Overview

Namely, Jalin Hyatt caught five passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns to lead No. 15 Tennessee to an easy payout. Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker threw for 251 yards and two scores in the first 30 minutes. In sum, he finished with 298 yards.
