2024 Michigan Wolverines Preview
Following the national title, Harbaugh fled to the Los Angeles Chargers of the NFL. Replacing Harbaugh is his offensive coordinator, Sherrone Moore. Moore was the fill-in coach for the final three regular season games for Harbaugh’s Spygate suspension. At a critical point of the online betting season, Moore won all three games to save the quest for a natty. In turn, his performance was a major factor in becoming head coach. But Moore was left with a program that is a shell of itself, with key players and coaches having departed the scene. The nation’s No. 1-ranked defense unit has a new coordinator. Long-time NFL assistant Don “Wink” Martindale is the architect of the disguise-heavy defense introduced at Michigan in 2021. Martindale will look to carry that over while mixing in some additional blitzing and pressure.
Michigan addressed a major question mark, landing Arkansas State kicker Dominic Zvada during the spring transfer portal window. Meanwhile, Tommy Doman, who averaged 44.3 yards per punt, is back.
