NCAA Betting – Ducks Flying High

The Oregon Ducks are making a splash on the national scene and getting some serious attention in NCAA betting. They trailed 21-3 this past week against Stanford and then outscored the Cardinal 49-10 to win going away and cover the college football betting number. Oregon has been a successful team this season versus the point spread at Sbg global.  They are 4-1 against the spread this season and they are scoring points in bunches.

Ducks Moving Up – The Ducks might be the only challenger for top-ranked Alabama.  Ohio State didn’t look good this past week in a win over Illinois. Perhaps the Ducks could be the team that could score and stay with Alabama. The Ducks are averaging almost 57 points a game.  Running back LaMichael James had 257 yards and three touchdowns in the win over Stanford.  Quarterback Darron Thomas threw for 238 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 117 yards and a TD.

Oregon 4-1 ATS – The Ducks are 4-1 against the NCAA betting point spread this season and they could easily be 5-0. They just missed covering the number against Arizona State when they won by 11 points as an 11.5 point favorite.  Oregon has such a potent offense that covering the spread is always a possibility.  Look at this past week. They trailed by 18 points and came back to win and cover against Stanford easily.  When you have an offense that is putting up nearly 60 points per game you can always make a case for taking the Ducks minus the points.

Undefeated Season?  The question now has to be asked whether or not the Ducks can run the table.  Let’s look at their remaining schedule.  They go to Washington State next week for what will be a slaughter.  They then host UCLA and they should win that easily. They then go to USC late this month and that could be interesting although there is no question the Ducks are a superior team. If they get past that game they then host Washington, go to California, host Arizona and end at Oregon State. Some of those games could be competitive but the way Oregon’s offense looks it is very possible the Ducks could fly right into the BCS title game.
