NCAA Betting – Big 12 Championship – Nebraska vs. Oklahoma

Two long time rivals meet in NCAA betting on Saturday night in the Big 12 Championship game as Nebraska faces Oklahoma.

This will be the last meeting in college football betting between the two schools as Big 12 foes with Nebraska moving to the Big 10 and it sure will be an important one.

Oklahoma -4.5, total 54 at Sbgglobal
The Sooners are favored in this Big 12 title game from Cowboys Stadium that can be seen on ABC. Oklahoma is ranked 10th in the country while Oklahoma is ranked 13th.  Nebraska would like to end their Big 12 affiliation with a title since they have not won one since 1999. The Cornhuskers lost in 2006 to the Sooners and last year in a heartbreaker to Texas.

Series History
The Sooners lead the all-time series 44-38-3 but they lost last season at Nebraska by a score of 10-3 as quarterback Landry Jones threw five interceptions. He is a much different quarterback this season and in the last five games he has been better than any quarterback in the nation. He has thrown for 1,853 yards in his last five games with 17 touchdowns. He threw for a school record 468 yards last week in the win over Oklahoma State.

Nebraska’s Offensive Problems
The Cornhuskers have a good defense but they have questions on offense.
Head coach Bo Pelini has ruined the quarterback situation.  Quarterback Taylor Martinez is questionable and backup Cody Green is nothing special.  Pelini will probably use both quarterbacks and that means Nebraska will likely lose. The Cornhuskers don’t look to have enough offense to keep up with the high powered attack of the Sooners.

Nebraska-Oklahoma Trends
The Cornhuskers are 4-0 in NCAA betting in their last 4 games as an underdog. The Cornhuskers are 4-1 against the point spread in their last 5 games in December. The Sooners are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games in December. They are 4-1 against the college football point spread in their last 5 conference games. Oklahoma is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite. The favorite is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings between the two teams which means Oklahoma may have an edge on Saturday.
