NCAA Football Betting – #1 Alabama Favored at South Carolina on CBS

Top-ranked Alabama is favored on the road in NCAA football betting on Saturday at South Carolina in a game that will be televised on CBS. You can’t say that Alabama doesn’t play the best teams in the country. This will be their third straight game against a team ranked in the Top 25 and their fourth overall.

Alabama has thrived against this season and they have been a popular team to take with a college football bet. Alabama is a 6.5 point favorite at Sbgglobal and the total on the game is 48. It is really hard to argue if you like Alabama. All the Crimson Tide has done this season is win every game straight up and go 4-1 against the spread. Alabama routed Florida last week and they have now won 29 straight regular season games going back to 2008.

Why Take South Carolina?  You really have to wonder why South Carolina is only a 6.5 point underdog.  Steve Spurrier has yet to win a really big game at South Carolina.  They lost two weeks ago against Auburn and proved they simply are not among the nation’s elite.  In their history, South Carolina has lost all four times they have played the number one team in the country. Maybe Alabama has a letdown after their win over Florida but it seems unlikely.  Nick Saban always has his team ready to play. The Gamecocks may get some action from bettors since they are at home but Alabama has been a money team this season.

Ingram and Richardson – The Tide have a great rushing attack led by reigning Heisman winner Mark Ingram.  Trent Richardson has been just as good and the Tide is averaging 229.8 yards per game. They should have success against a South Carolina defense that has really not been that strong against the run.

Series – The Crimson Tide have won 12 of the 14 all-time meetings in this series including the last two.

Great Numbers for Tide – The Crimson Tide are 6-1 against the NCAA football betting line in their last 7 games overall. They are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 road games. They are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 conference games.  The road team in this series is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings.
