The Texas Longhorns were very unimpressive last week and even though they defeated Rice they did not cover the NCAA football betting point spread. The Longhorns slipped in the national polls and they need a dominating win on Saturday as they face Wyoming. A motivated Texas team could be worth a college football bet on Saturday. It is a tough spot for Wyoming. One of their players was killed in a traffic accident this week so hearts are going to be heavy. Sometimes teams can be inspired to play well after a tragedy but in this case the Cowboys are overmatched and they are on the road.
Texas a 29-point Favorite at Sbg global.com – The Longhorns is big favorites to roll it up this week. This is the home opener for Texas and they totally outclass Wyoming. The Cowboys did win last week but it was against Southern Utah who barely has a college football team and they won only 28-20. Texas won 34-17 at Rice and really didn’t look very impressive doing it.
Texas Offense Should Explode this Week – The Longhorns were not very good on offense last week. They ran the ball 46 times for 197 yards. That is really not very good considering the amount of attempts. Head coach Mack Brown said that the team is not where they need to be on offense. Quarterback Garrett Gilbert was 14 for 23 for 172 yards. He should have a field day against a Wyoming defense that gave up 337 yards to Colt McCoy last season.
Wyoming Will Throw – The Cowboys are going to throw the ball. Last week quarterback Austyn Carta-Samuels threw for 319 yards and three touchdowns. They rushed for only 36 yards last week so they are going to get nothing against Texas.
Texas Domination – The Longhorns have outscored Wyoming 92-20 in their three previous meetings. The only thing that points to Wyoming in this game is that they are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 road games. They are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. the Big 12. Texas is just 2-5-1 against the NCAA football betting line in their last 8 home games. Trends on the total indicate that the Over is 5-1 in the Cowboys last 6 games overall.
