NCAA Football – Michigan vs Indiana

Now that we are coming into the 2015 NCAA Football Wk 11 on Saturday the 14th on November as the No. 15 Wolverines of Michigan 7-2 take on the Hoosiers of Indiana 4-5 with the game being played at the Memorial Stadium in Bloomington, Indiana with kick-off scheduled for 3:35 PM ET and seen on ESPN TV.

For those that Bet on College Football the betting odds have the Wolverines of Michigan the favorites at -13 with the Over/under at 56 and -500 on the Money Line, while the Hoosiers of Indiana are the underdogs at +13 and +400 on the ML. The underdog Hoosier’s don’t have a lot of smiles these days since they have not won a game since back in week 4 and they are strongly seeking a victory. Now they face off with the powerful Big Ten Wolverines of Michigan.

The fans of the 7-2 Wolverines who are 4-1 in the Big Ten got to see the last 2 games that had wild finishes, with their last game a 33 point win over Rutgers last Saturday. That game was a display of the Spartans QB J. Rudock who had a career best game as he threw for some 338 yards and 2 TD’s and also ran for a TD and made a 2 point conversion in the 3rd quarter. Also their WR J. Butt had a good game as he had 4 receptions for 104 yards a career best for him also.

Now they seek another win and move closer to competing for the Big Ten Title in the East in this match-up with Indiana on Saturday. To win this game the Wolverines will likely take advantage of the defensive weakness of the Hoosiers who rank at the bottom of the Big Ten allowing opponents to 505 yards in total each game and some 38 points each game in 2015.

Thus the Wolverines will look to D. Smith, A. Darboh and C. Butt to confuse the Hoosiers offense. WR’s Butt and Darboh have combined for 875 yards and 4 TD’s in their 9 games this season, while Smith leads the team rushing with 525 total yards and 5 TD’s. The Wolverines in their last 10 games on the road have won 3 and lost 7 straight up!

The fans of the 4-5 Hoosiers of Indiana who are also 0-5 in the Big Ten have to be concerned as to whether their team can make a comeback against the Wolverines to go to 5-5. Their 5th loss came at the hands of the Hawkeyes of Iowa State 35-27 as the Hoosiers stayed in the game, but in the end were outdone by QB C. Beathard of Iowa who completed 19 of his 31 pass attempts for some 234 yards and a game sealing TD last in the 4th quarter to receiver G. Kittles. But the Hoosiers RB J. Howard kept them in the game with his performance that saw him have 22 carries for 175 yards and 2 TD’s, and in that game he reached the 100 yard mark for the 5th time this season.

This game in Week 11 will likely be another uphill struggle for the Indiana team as they face a ranked team again in the Wolverines, who to date have beaten the Hoosiers in all of their ultimate 10 games. If the Hoosiers are thinking upset, then they better gather up all their offensive weapons and put them to work, because at present the Hoosiers are one of the best in the Big Ten as they average on offense some 461 yards each game. Reason being is that their QB N. Sudfield this season has passed for 2230 yards and 15 TD’s passing and has a QB rating of 147, and that ranks 2nd in the Big Ten.

Two other key to their offensive success has been RB Howard who to date has 962 rushing yards with 7 TD’s in the last 7 games, while WR Jones has 709 yards in receptions and 5 TD’s to date. But their offense is going to have to give some extra effort to score points against the Wolverine defense that is only allowing their opponents some 238 total yard each game in this 2015 season. The Hoosiers in their last 10 games at home are with 5 wins and 5 losses straight up.

The prediction for this game is that the Wolverines of Michigan will overcome the Hoosiers of Indiana but will not cover the spread of 13 points in this game.
