With the NCAA FB 2nd week of the Regular Season ready to begin we preview the game between the Bulls of South Florida playing at the Seminoles of Florida State with the game being played on the Saturday the 12th of Sept. 2015 at the Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida with kick-off scheduled for 11:30 PM ET and seen on ESPN. The early odds if you Bet on College football have the Seminole favored at -27 ½, and the underdog Bulls at +27 ½ win no early lines for the totals or money line.
In their 1st game FSU was able to rout the Bobcats of Texas State to win their opener in Tallahassee. Fans are wondering will the Seminole make a 2 straight wins with a victory over the Bulls of South Florida.
For the Bulls of South Florida fans, surely you know the Bulls head coach W. Taggart is struggling as his team in 2014 had just 2 wins and some 10 losses. However, the coach had a win this past weekend over the Rattlers of Florida A&M 51-3 and now his hot seat is somewhat cooler.
Now he seeks to upset the Seminole to give more security in his job, which is a huge task, considering a road game against 10th ranked FSU at home. The Bulls in their last 10 games on the road are 7-3 against the spread.
In the game last week against the Rattlers the Bulls showed a offense that was very balanced with 275 yards gained rushing, and 282 yards passing, as starting QB Q. Flowers passed for 2 TD’s and accumulated some 142 yards passing. Back-up QB S. Bench also passed for 2 TD’s on 127 yards passing. While WR E. Dillon had 128 yards on receptions and scored 1 TD.
Naturally, the Bulls fans can’t expect their team to have the same success against FSU, and their defense will have to be at its best if they expect to stay in the game. Also, their secondary that returns 3 starters from 2014 will have to step up their play to limit the FSU strong passing game.
For the football fans of the Seminoles of Florida State, you know the weather in Tallahassee suits the Seminole new starting QB E. Golson as his performance showed in their last Saturdays win over the Bobcats of Texas State, as QB Golson passed for 4 TD’s and a total of 304 yards in his 1st start at FSU. Thus QB Golson will seek to continue his hot performance when the Bulls of South Florida visit Tallahassee this coming Saturday the 12th of Sept. 2015.
Not only did the FSU passing game excel, but so did their running game that was led by RB D. Cook who had 158 yards of the Seminoles 268 total yards rushing, plus RG Cook scored 2 TD’s. Also RB M. Pender rushed for 90 yards and scored 1 TD.
On defense the Seminole will depend on their defensive unit to limit the Bulls as they did the Bobcats last weekend, allowing the Bulls to gain a total of just 300 yards in total. The Bobcats has only 17-1st downs while the Seminoles had 30-1st downs in that game.
The FSU ‘Noles’ have a winning streak of 18 games in Tallahassee, and are undefeated at home in the Capitol of Florida since back in the 2013 season. The prediction for this game is that the Seminoles will cover the spread and beat the Bulls of South Florida 42-13.
