With week 3 of NCAA Football 2015 coming our way, we preview a Friday night game on the 18th of September 2015 with the No. 9 Seminoles of Florida State playing at the Eagles of Boston College with the game being played at the Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts with kick-off scheduled for 8 PM ET and seen on ESPN TV.
The FSU Seminoles come into this week 3 game with 2 wins and 0 losses, and that was after a 20 point win over a stubborn University of South Florida team this past Saturday. Thus, this Friday night the Seminole seek to remain undefeated. The opening odds at SBG Global for those who Bet on College football, have the Noles favorites at -7 ½ with the Over/under at 46 ½ and -310 on the ML, while the underdog Eagles are +7 ½ and +260 on ML.
If you’re a fan of the Seminoles of FSU your team won their 2nd game 34-14 over the Bulls of South Florida, while the star of the game for the Noles was RB D. Cook who rushed for some 268 yards and scored 3 TD’s in that game. The rushing yardage was the 2nd best in FSU history, and the 1st 200 yard game by a Noles player since back in the 1988 season playing Tulane.
The star RB Cook in the Noles 1st-2 games scored 5 TD’s and rushed for 424 yards as he averaged an incredible 8.6 yards each carry in those 2 games. The 268 yards rushed last Saturday was a career 1st for 200 yards, and Cook’s 5th 100 yard game. RB Cook and the Noles will be rushing against the Eagles who to date in this 2015 season in their 1st 2 games have not allowed a TD on the ground. But the Noles have done very well against the Bull of BC as in the last 5 games FSU is 5 and 0. In 2014 the Noles beat the Eagles by a mere 20-17, while FSU in their ultimate 10 road games are 9 and 1 straight up.
The Eagles of Boston Colleges and their fans will be seeking to increase their win streak after beating the Bison’s of Howard U. 76-0 last Friday night. That win was the biggest since back in 1949 when the beat Holy Cross also 76-0. With their last victory the Eagles are now 24-1 against Subdivision schools.
In that lopsided 76-0 victory last week, the Eagles managed to rush for some 484 yards, and were led by RB T. Rouse who rushed for 3 TD’s. The amazing statistic for that game was that the Eagles defense only allowed the Howard team some 11 total yards in the game, and that yardage came in the last minutes of the game. To date the Eagles defense in their 1st 2 games have allowed a total of 3 points scored by the 2 opponents to date.
If the Eagles of Boston College are to remain undefeated the will have to stop the Seminoles RB Cook, and they just may do that with their No. 1 ranked defense in the NCAA to date. What’s hard to digest is that in their 1st 2 games they only allowed some compiled 14 yards rushing in those games. In the ultimate 10 games the Eagles had 5 wins and 5 losses straight up.
The prediction is that the Eagles of Boston College will upset the Seminoles of Florida State 24-21 in this week 3 game.
