NCAA Online Betting – California at Arizona

NCAA online betting action includes an exciting Pac 10 matchup on Fox College Sports as #16 Arizona hosts California at 10:05 PM Eastern. Sbg global opened with the Arizona Wildcats as a 6.5-point home favorite over the Golden Bears of Cal with an over/under of 56.

A Win for the Ages
The Arizona Wildcats made a national statement on ESPN Saturday Night Football last week as they defeated a top ten Iowa Hawkeye team 34-27 in one of the biggest wins in school history and the most significant win in the 7 seasons that Mike Stoops has been on the job as head coach.  The Wildcats showed championship mettle and character as they pulled themselves together after blowing a 24-7 lead.  After Iowa tied the game on a 20-yard “pick six” the Wildcats blocked the extra point and quarterback Nick Foles recovered to engineer the winning touchdown drive that was capped off with a 4 yard touchdown pass to William Wright.  Arizona is now 3-0 both straight up and against the spread.

Constant Improvement
Stoops has methodically built and improved the Wildcats.  It may have taken longer than planned but Arizona is coming off back-to-back 8-5 bowl seasons and looks like they are ready to contend for the Pac 10 title as the race is wide open this year.  Stoops has built a rock ribbed defense that ranks 3rd in the nation while Foles quarterbacks a 6th ranked passing attack with a 78% completion rate, 877 yards, an 8.9 yards per attempt average, and a 5/3 touchdown to interception ratio.  Nicholas Grigsby adds balance with 5.7 yards per carry average and Juron Criner stretches the field with 19.7 yards per catch average.

A Un-Bear-able Em-Bear-assment
The Cal Bears meanwhile went into the pit of Nevada and were humiliated by the Wolfpack 52-31 as 2.5-point road favorites.  The Bears managed to outgain Nevada 502-497 but were burned by quarterback Kevin Riley’s 3 interceptions.  Cal now has a college football betting record of 2-1 both straight up and against the spread with all 3 games going over the total.  Cal ranks 7th in the country for scoring offense.
