Friday NCAA Online Betting – Nebraska Heavily Favored vs. Colorado

Nebraska is heavily favored on Friday in NCAA online betting in what will be the last meeting between the Cornhuskers and Buffaloes for a long time.

These two longtime rivals have played some very memorable games but the series is coming to a close with Nebraska moving to the Big 10 and Colorado to the Pac-10.  The end of the series might be the only reason to watch because Colorado is a bad football team and a big underdog in college football betting on Friday in this game that can be seen on ABC.

Nebraska -17.5 at SBG
The Cornhuskers are expected to win this game handily but it is not like Nebraska is a great team this season. They played poorly last week in a loss to Texas A&M. They also have some major internal problems involving head coach Bo Pelini and quarterback Taylor Martinez.  It is still hard to make a case for Colorado though as they have done nothing this season.

Pelini Feeling the Heat
The loss to A&M was bad enough but head coach Bo Pelini was caught on camera launching a verbal tirade against quarterback Taylor Martinez.  There are reports that Martinez was texting his father while receiving treatment for his ankle injury and Pelini exploded.  Nebraska chancellor Harvey Perlman was extremely upset about the incident and let Pelini hear about it.  It didn’t help Pelini’s cause that he berated officials the entire game as Nebraska was called for a school-record 16 penalties. Texas A&M had just two.

A Nebraska Win Clinches the North
With all of the troubles that Nebraska has had recently they just need to beat rotten Colorado to clinch the North Division and go to the Big 12 title game. On paper that would not seem to be a problem if the players haven’t quit on Pelini.  Looking at the trends we find that the Buffaloes are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games but the Cornhuskers are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 home games. It should also be noted that the Buffaloes are 6-1 against the NCAA online betting odds in their last 7 meetings in Nebraska.  If you are looking at the total then keep in mind that the Under is 4-0 in the Cornhuskers last 4 home games but in this series the last four games have gone over.
