NCAA Week 9 Recap

Week 9 in the NCAA was certainly the most exciting of the season so far. Not only were there some great matchups, like Notre Dame taking on Oklahoma, but also some impressive upsets. Who would have guessed the Gators would commit 6 turnovers and fall to Georgia? Let’s take a look at some of the more interesting games and changes in the NCAA Top 25.

In the Thursday night game, Clemson rolled over Wake Forest, winning 42-13. They were up 35-7 by halftime and cruised to an easy victory. This earned them a move from No. 18 to No. 13 in the standings. Friday night’s game featured No. 16 Louisville winning a close one in overtime over Cincinnati, 34-31. No. 1 Alabama routed No. 11 Mississippi State. No surprises there, as the Tide were up 24-0 at halftime, and won 38-7. They improved to 8-0 and 5-0 in the SEC, while retaining their No. 1 rank. The Florida Gators had a tough time against Georgia, losing 17-9. Six turnovers cost Florida the game as well as their No. 2 spot, while the Bulldogs moved up from No. 10 to No. 6. Florida is now ranked No. 7.

Kansas State earned up a move up from No. 3 to No. 2 with a 55-24 defeat of the Texas Red Raiders. The Wildcats trailed in the first quarter, and were up only 13-10 by halftime, but put up 21 points in each of the final two quarters. The Red Raiders dropped from No. 14 to No. 18.

Notre Dame defeated the Sooners in Oklahoma, 30-13. They are also unbeaten this year. That earned the Irish the No. 3 spot, after they were ranked No. 5 last week. The Sooners dropped from No. 8 to No. 12.

Oregon holds onto its No. 4 rank with a dominating performance over Colorado. The Ducks were up 56-0 at halftime, and won 70-14.   Start your College Football Betting on Week 10 Games. After a loss to LSU last week, Texas A&M rebounded by scoring 63 points against Auburn. They were up 42-7 by halftime, and ended the game up 63-21. The Aggies moved up from No. 20 to No. 16. LSU, despite having the week off, moved up from No. 6 to No. 5, as a result of the Gators falling out of the Top 5.

No. 7 Oregon State was upset by the Washington Huskies, 20-17. They are now ranked No. 11. No. 9 USC was also upset by Arizona, losing 39-36. USC is now ranked No. 17, and face Oregon this week. No. 15 Rutgers was upset by Kent State, losing 35-23. Nebraska upset No. 22 Michigan by a score of 23-9, while Miami of Ohio upset No. 24 Ohio, winning 23-20. No. 25 Wisconsin was upset by Michigan State, 16-13. Rutgers dropped to No. 25, while Ohio and Wisconsin are now out of the Top 25.
