One of the NCAA online betting games that will be televised on ABC on Saturday, September 4th has Connecticut at Michigan. The Wolverines are favored in college football betting mainly because they are at home but it could be the Huskies who have the better team.NCAA online betting favors the Wolverines by three points in the season opener. The question really becomes why is Michigan favored in this game?
Connecticut is Better: When you look at Connecticut and Michigan there is really not much doubt that Connecticut is better. They just don’t get the publicity and hype that Michigan gets. What has Rich Rodriguez done at Michigan? The answer is nothing. The Wolverines had not even decided on a starting quarterback.
Rodriguez said he won’t even announce the starter until the night before the game. He might decide to play all three quarterbacks in the game. The battle is between Denard Robinson, Tate Forcier and Devin Gardner. The Wolverines have questions at running back and at kicker heading into the opener. Again, why is Michigan favored?
Connecticut Could Win the Big East: The Huskies are good enough that they could win the Big East this season. They return eight starters on offense and eight on defense. The Huskies return senior Zach Frazer at quarterback and they have Jordan Todman returning at running back.
Four starters return on the offensive line. The defense returns two excellent linebackers in Scott Lutrus and Lawrence Wilson. The secondary is young but in this game against Michigan it shouldn’t matter as the Wolverines are not much of threat.
Michigan Still Looks Weak: The Wolverines still don’t have the talent across the board to be a threat in the Big 10. It is questionable whether they even have the talent to beat Connecticut in this game. And the Wolverines have so many questions coming into this game that make them a risky play.
Take the Points: Many gamblers at Sbg global.com are going to see the name Michigan and automatically bet them against Connecticut. The Wolverines could win but they have shown nothing in the past couple of seasons while Connecticut continues to impress. Getting points with the Huskies on Saturday? Sounds like an upset waiting to happen.
