Last week the Georgia Bulldogs played in a high-profile virtual home game against the Oregon Ducks. While the game was not at Sanford Stadium, it was in nearby Atlanta. And it served as the next best thing to an NCAA Football Betting home game. Overall, it was an easy payday for the defending national champions and gamblers. This week the pressure is lowered significantly by a true home matchup against the FCS Samford Bulldogs. Most of the Georgia players will get playing time. The only question is, what score will UGA name?

Samford at Georgia SBG Odds Overview
“Money makes the world go ‘round.” So goes the old saying. And Saturday’s offshore betting matchup of Samford and Georgia is proof of that. Samford will get annihilated. However, they will get a large payment to fund their athletic department budget to do so. And Georgia will get the chance to empty its bench for an easy win. Of major concern is the massive pointspread. And that Georgia may take it easy on an outclassed foe.
Samford Bulldogs Team Overview
Last week Samford scored an incredible FCS upset win over Kennesaw State 27-17. Michael Hiers threw for four touchdowns to spark the Bulldogs. Hiers, a junior college transfer, was 18-of-24 passing for 289 yards. And he completed two touchdown passes to both Kendall Watson and Chandler Smith. In turn, Watson had nine catches for a career-high 187 yards.
Hiers’ two scores to Smith came in the fourth quarter. And the final one was a toss into the flat that the receiver turned into a 31-yard score with five minutes remaining and a 27-17 lead.
Kennesaw State fell in their first game since leaving the Big South. Previously they won three conference titles in seven years. Including last season. Now, the Owls are members of the Atlantic Sun this season.
Last year Samford struggled through a 4-7 season. And they were losing the same way they seem to go through every year. Samford got involved in too many shootouts, hoping to outscore the opponent. While the Bulldogs scored almost 38 points per game, they allowed 39.5 a game. That style of play made for a fun watch but also meant red ink. But that has been Samford football for the past half-decade. This year could be tougher. Samford must break in a new quarterback, and they must replace their top three receivers from last year.
Georgia Bulldogs Team Overview
Last week the Georgia Bulldogs earned an easy payout in a 49-3 win over the Oregon Ducks as 16-point favorites. The game went under the total of 54.5. Stetson Bennett and the Bulldog defense picked up where they left off in last year’s national championship game. Despite missing numerous former teammates now playing in the NFL.
In sum, Bennett threw for 368 yards and accounted for three touchdowns. And a reloaded defense didn’t miss a beat. The #3 Bulldogs looked very much like a champion intent on repeating. Bennett completed 25-of-31 passes with two touchdowns. Also, he ran for another score in the season opener before taking most of the second half off. Georgia went to the air early and often, throwing 37 times for 439 yards.
