Tar Heels of North Carolina at Tigers of Clemson ACC Championship Odds

This Saturday the 5th of December 2015 we also have the exciting ACC Championship Title game as the Coastal Division Champs, the AP No. 8 Tar Heels of North Carolina (Conference 8-0 Overall 11-1) playing the Atlantic Division Champs, the AP No. 1 Tigers of Clemson (Conference 8-0 Overall 12-0) with the Title game being played at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina with the kick-off scheduled for 8:05 PM ET and seen on ABC and ESPN TV.

The fans that Bet on College football at SBG Global need to know that the early odds on this Atlantic Coast Conference Title game has as expected the No. 1 Tigers of Clemson are favored at -5 with the Over/under at 67 and -220 on the Money Line, while the No. 8 Tarheels are listed as the underdogs at +5 and +180 on the ML.

There still seems to be a chance that North Carolina could still make the playoffs but a win in this ACC Title game would give them a needed boost, if they can upset the No. Alabama. But that’s a big task considering the Tigers have beaten all their opponents in 2015!

For fans of the 8-0 ACC Tarheels of North Carolina you know your team after losing their season opener to the Gamecocks of South Carolina 13-17 they have won 11 consecutive games and were No.14 in the CFB ratings and did move up to No.11 after beating NC State last weekend 45-34 while teams competing like Florida, Baylor and OK State all lost their last games. The final four is not out of question, but 1st they would have to beat the No.1 Clemson with the game in Charlotte, which is like playing at home for the Tarheels.

Defensively the Tar Heels last season were terrible, but this season their DC G. Chizik has brought them up in the rankings defensively, but still may have problems in containing the powerful and balance offense of the Tigers.

On the other side the offense for North Carolina has performed very well this season and are now ranked at No. 8 in the AP Poll as they have averaged some 42 points each game, and in the past 2 weeks beat the Hurricanes of Miami and the Blue Devils of Duke by scoring a combined 126 points in those 2 games.

The NC QB M. Williams has had much publicity as 1 of the top QB’s in College Football, but the Senior QB in the ACC is 1 of the top passers, and is also a great scrambler. Yes, he is No. 8 in rushing yardage and has scored some 10 touchdowns running the ball this season, which in both categories he has outdone the Tiger’s QB M. Williams and a Heisman candidate in 2015.

Also the Tar Heels RB E. Hood has had a better season than the Tiger’s RB W. Gallman as Hood has average 107 yards each game rushing and is 2nd in the ACC with 16 touchdowns. On defense the Tar Heels probably won’t slow the Tigers considerably, but on offense they can hold their won, and even might outlast Clemson to pull off an upset.

The for the fans of the 8-0 ACC Tigers of Clemson your team last week are presently very close to the No.1 spot in the CFP’s with their consistent wins, but they have had problems cover against the spread in 2015 as they have not covered the spread in their ultimate 4 games. However, did you know that your team won their ultimate 8 games by at least 8 points, and has the talent to score more against the Tar Heels?

Remember the old football adage that defense win the Title game, well believe it, the Tigers have a great defense which ranks 15th in the nation as far as points allowed each game at 19. That defense of the Tigers is likely the best defense the Tar Heels will face this 2015 season, and just may be the defense that can slow the powerful offense of North Carolina.

Offensively the Tiger fare well also, and they like to think they have the best QB in the nation in their QB Watson who against the Gamecocks of South Carolina he completed 20 of his 27 pass attempts for 280 yards, and he rushed for 115 yards in their close win over the Gamecocks 37-32!

The Tigers QB Watson and RB W. Gallman have combined for 1,145 yards rushing with 9 touchdowns this season, and should do well against a weak run defense of the Tar Heels who have allowed opponents some 210 yards each game rushing which out of 128 teams ranks them at 106th. In their ultimate 9 games with the Tar Heels they are with 7 wins and 2 losses straight up.

The sportsbook prediction for this ACC Title game is that in the QB duel for this game the Clemson QB out does the Tar Heels QB offensively, thus the Tigers cover the spread and be North Carolina 38-31.
