UGA and Tide Top 2019 SEC Betting on College Football Prospects

UGA and Tide Top 2019 SEC Betting on College Football Prospects

At the onset of spring football two teams stood apart from the rest as best in the Southeastern Conference.  Since 2009 Alabama has won five national championships and has made five consecutive playoff appearances.  Further, the Tide has played in four consecutive College Football Playoff national championships.  Extending their status as the Betting on college football favorite to win the SEC is that resume.  Add future Hall of Fame coach Nick Saban and you have an expensive team on the board.  Perhaps the biggest question facing the SEC is if there is a team that can topple the Tide.

Alabama

Certainly, among the favorites to oust Alabama are the Georgia Bulldogs.  Former Tide defensive coordinator Kirby Smart enters his fourth year at Georgia.  Most important of all Smart has upgraded UGA’s recruiting quality significantly.  That has translated into a 13-2 season in 2017 that ended in an overtime loss to Bama in the national championship game.  Following that was an 11-3 record last year and another heartbreaking loss to Alabama in the SEC championship game.  Georgia hauled in a top five recruiting class for 2019. Most national services had UGA second to the Crimson Tide for its 2019 class.

Florida Gators

Also, in the betting on college football conservation are the Florida Gators.  Head coach Dan Mullen arrived last year after a highly successful run at Mississippi State.  And Mullen made an immediate impact improving the team from a 4-7 record in 2017 to 10-3 in 2018.  Capping off Mullen’s first season at Gainesville was a 41-15 thumping of Michigan in the Peach Bowl.  After that Mullen hauled in a top ten class for 2019. As a result, expectations are through the roof.

Auburn Tigers

By contrast frustration continues to grow with head coach Gus Malzahn and the Auburn Tigers.  Following their 2017 Iron Bowl Offshore betting win over Alabama Malzahn cashed in with a big fat contract.  And its been downhill ever since.  Last season ended with an 8-5 straight up record with only six payouts.  Of great concern is the fact that Auburn’s offense has been a drag despite Malzahn’s reputation as an offensive guru.  To illuminate the Tigers ranked 79th for total offense last season.

Bayou Bengals

A clear difference can be seen in comparison with the LSU Tigers and the rest of the SEC.  Certainly, the Bayou Bengals are among the most talented teams in the league.  Of little difference has that made when up against Alabama.  Head coach Ed Orgeron’s performance has exceeded expectations.  But its still a notch below the Crimson Tide.  And that is not sitting well with fans.

Matchup to Watch

In this situation in the SEC Alabama and Georgia are separating from the rest of the pack.  It follows that Florida and Texas A&M could be the best Betting on college football alternatives due to recruiting.  However, Alabama is a machine that looks well-oiled for another title run.
