First year Washington Huskies head coach Kalen DeBoer put together the nation’s second-best offense. 2023 Washington Huskies Preview
It is true that the 2023 Washington Huskies are good enough to make amends. And Washington can be even better with one of the nation’s most dangerous attacks. Additionally, Washington has a defense that’s about to be stronger and more disruptive on the front six. Although it may not be a Pac-12 Championship or Bust online betting season, Washington is not far off. This program is more than good enough to do big things.
Last year, Washington was one of the most improved teams in the nation. And they return the bulk of that roster to make a run at the Pac-12 title in ’23. Kalen DeBoer’s arrival as a head coach helped to spark a College Football Betting
offense that averaged 39.7 points a game. Namely, U-Dub was led by quarterback Michael Penix Jr. and a standout receiving corps.
The Huskies need to replace three starters along the line. But Penix Jr.’s return should keep this offense near the top of the Pac-12. In 2020, then-Washington Huskies rookie head coach Jimmy Lake didn’t get much of a debut season. Lake led Washington to three wins in four games and a berth in the Pac-12 championship game. Due to the pandemic, the Huskies had to forego their chance for the title.
For the 2021 season, Lake got his chance to show what he can do over a full schedule. And it was a disaster. Washington finished 4-8, and Lake failed to complete the season. He was fired for a multitude of reasons. In sum, he lost the support of big-money donors and regular fans.
Kalen DeBoer has flipped the script. So too, is excitement building for Washington’s move to the Big Ten Conference in 2023.
