Last year, The Minnesota Vikings lost just four games. But it will be a tall order for them to repeat that success. Of the Vikings’ 13 wins in 2022, 11 came by a touchdown or less. If the Football Gods are after any team this year, it’s Minnesota. In free agency, the Vikings added tight end Josh Oliver. Oliver has been injury prone but is a promising signing nonetheless. Also, they signed an elite NFL odds edge defender in Marcus Davenport.

At the onset, the Vikings are a trendy pick to take a step back from their 13-4 regular-season record from last season. Correlate that the sportsbook odds are much greater that they will win fewer than 13 games. Compared to matching or exceeding that total. But it’s clear that the NFL at least views them as an entertaining team.
Overall, The Vikings will make five prime-time appearances in 2023. Including two Sunday night games, two on Monday and one on Thursday. It’s also quite possible that their Week 18 matchup with the Detroit Lions could be in the national spotlight. Especially if its outcome determines the NFC North title.
Indeed, the Vikings’ hopes for repeating as NFC North champions could come down to the season’s final three games. Those matchups include two against the Lions and one against the Green Bay Packers.
