2024 Green Bay Packers See Future Market Popularity

At the onset of December, the Green Bay Packers were written off for dead to make the 2023 NFL Playoffs. At that point, there was NFL Betting Odds speculation about coach Matt LaFleur being fired. Also, quarterback Jordan Love was feared to not be the answer after the departure of Aaron Rodgers. However, the on-switch came on, and the Packers made a furious run to gain the playoffs. Subsequently, they scored a shocking win at the Dallas Cowboys in the wild-card round. Following that was a close call loss at the San Francisco 49ers.

2024 Green Bay Packers Preview

The sports betting question seemed to catch Brian Gutekunst off guard. The Green Bay Packers general manager had just put the finishing touches on his 11-player draft class. Subsequently, he ran his three-year total to 35 selections, easily the most in the NFL. So, Gutekunst was asked, are you aiming to be among the league’s youngest teams every year?

If “Green & Growing” sounds like a rallying cry, it should. Now is a new era of Packers football. To illuminate, the Packers overcame a 2-5 start to finish 9-8. Dallas made the playoffs as the NFC’s seventh and final seed. And then the Pack dominated the heavily favored Dallas Cowboys on the road in the wild-card round. Of course, it was supposed to be a rebuilding year in their first season. Especially with 2020 first-round pick Jordan Love as the starting quarterback.

Gone are the NFL football Betting days of pushing all their chips to the middle of the table. Additionally, there are large salary-cap charges in the future. Green Bay was trying to keep a veteran-laden playoff contender, led by aging four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers, together. Last season’s success has changed the organization’s paradigm. Youthful competition is now the order of the day.

Last season, unburdened by expectations, the Packers came together after an ugly start and finished strong. That should be a springboard to even greater success. But it also means they’re done surprising opponents who might underestimate them. Green Bay expects to battle tooth-and-nail with the Detroit Lions for NFC North supremacy. If Love continues to elevate his game, a Super Bowl berth isn’t out of the question.

Indeed, Rodgers’ place now belongs to Love, whose first year as the starter was shaky. Finally, he finished the year on a Rodgers-esque heater. To show, Love completed 70.3 percent of his passes for 2,150 yards with 18 touchdowns and just one interception (112.7 passer rating) over the final eight games.
