Last year was a step back with the NFL Betting Odds for the Philadelphia Eagles. After nearly winning the 2022 championship in a close call loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl, the Eagles slipped. Following a hot start, the Eagles collapsed down the stretch in 2023. Philadelphia meekly backed out in the playoffs. As a result, head coach Nick Sirianni is in the hot seat. Sirianni was exposed after losing his two coordinators after winning the NFC championship. Still, gamblers like what they see with the 2024 Eagles.

2024 Philadelphia Eagles Preview
By the end of the 2023 season, the Eagles were a mess. To illuminate, they turned a 10-1 start into a 1-5 finish and then were humbled, 32-9, by Tampa Bay in the playoffs. Head coach Nick Sirianni survived the epic offshore betting collapse. But he enters the ’24 campaign with two new coordinators and a bunch of questions about his role.
The Eagles are pretty much the same team that face-planted at the end of last year. Hence, fans are wondering whether there will be better leadership, better defensive play, and more consistency than the team showed in 2023. Thanks to the retirements of fixtures Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox, some new locker room voices must emerge. Due to the trade of edge rusher Haason Reddick, the Eagles have some big NFL football Betting questions to answer.
The organization believes in its stars, especially quarterback Jalen Hurts. Although there were rumblings last year of some discontent with his ability to relate to teammates. Free agency signings and draft choices will bring fortifications to some areas of need. Thus, the Eagles look like NFC East contenders. But whether Sirianni can provide the necessary direction remains a question.
Certainly, the Eagles have plenty of talent throughout the roster and are among the NFC’s best teams. The question is whether Sirianni can provide the vision at the top as a team CEO for success.
Adding Barkley to a loaded set of skill-position players was inspiring. But Hurts must avoid turnovers, and the line has to remain healthy. Even if the Eagles score a bunch of points, they can’t have a reprise of last year’s defensive performance. The secondary additions look promising. Still, it’s unlikely the team will have a savage pass rush, no matter how good Fangio is at deploying his personnel.
In sum, the Eagles are a fascinating team that could compete for the Super Bowl. On the other hand, some issues don’t always have to do with talent or scheme. Expect an interesting season and at least a playoff berth.
