Bear Market on 2023 Chicago NFL Season

Bear Market on 2023 Chicago NFL Season

Last season, Justin Fields lit fantasy football afire through the second half. And he has proven himself one of the most exciting players in the NFL. In drafting Darnell Wright, the Bears invested in keeping Fields upright this year. In turn, that is an important point to focus on. Cause by the 55 sacks that Fields suffered in 2022. Still, gamblers are not beating down the betting window for future market NFL odds action on Chicago. The Bears must prove to gamblers that they are for real if they ever are.

The Bears are once again prime-time sportsbook darlings. Despite a league-worst 3-14 finish last season. Chicago plays on “Sunday Night Football” in Los Angeles against the Chargers. Next, the Bears travel to Minnesota for “Monday Night Football.” And then Chicago has games at Washington and home against Carolina on “Thursday Night Football.” This is the first season when teams are allowed to play twice on Thursdays.

For a third time since 2018, the Bears open the season against division rival Green Bay. But this will be the first time since 1991 that Chicago will not be facing a Hall of Fame-caliber quarterback, either Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers. The Bears hope to snap an eight-game losing streak to their NFC North opponent. In turn, Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love will make his second start of his career.

2023 Chicago Bears Offseason Moves

Following solid moves in free agency, the Bears have the most salary cap available of any team. Their defense ranked last in the league in 2022 with a 52.4 NFL betting odds grade. So adding two solid linebackers, Tremaine Edmunds and T.J. Edwards, should help fix that. Further, defensive linemen Andrew Billings and DeMarcus Walker are huge upgrades to the front seven.

Also, Chicago shored up its offensive line by signing guard Nate Davis and drafting tackle Darnell Wright. Wright allowed only eight pressures in 2022. And his 1.7% pressure rate in 2022 ranked fourth among FBS tackles.
