Also their RB L. McCoy had 21 carries for 114 yards rushing and for the season leads the team with a total of 792 yards rushing.
That trio with QB Taylor, WR Watkins and RB McCoy will lead the Bills offense into an Eagle’s more or less defensive team. To date this season Philadelphia is ranked at 25th in scoring defense and 21st in pass defense and 29th in rush defense. With the Bills offense are being pressured to win this game since their defensive unit has seemed to struggle as of late. Even as the Bills are only allowing opponents an average of 23 points a game, they rank 20th for total defense as they are allowing opponents some 360 yards each game.
The fans of the 5-7 Eagles are wondering about their Coach C. Kelly who coached his team into a comeback win over the Patriots of New England in an upset at 35-28. They have to thank their amazing defensive units play, as well as the play of the special teams that halted the powerful and defending NFL Champions the Patriots and QB T. Brady.
What was great for the fans was seeing the Eagles score 2 touchdowns thanks to the Special Teams, as N. Goode took a blocked punt for a TD and M. Jenkins intercepted QB Brady for a 99 yard TD return. The defense was spectacular in the game as they intercepted QB Brady some 2 times and sacked on 4 occasions with a total loss if 24 yards, as the Eagles defense found new life.
The defense against the Bills will see CB B. Maxwell who intercepted Brady in that last game will be on his college teammate from Cleveland who is a star WR S. Watkins for Buffalo. Yes, the Eagles beat the Patriots but we still can’t forget their recent struggles on the offensive side. Their QB S. Bradford returned to the lineup and completed just 14 of his 24 passing attempts for a mere 120 yards, while their star RB D. Murray had 8 carries and only managed 25 yards. In this game if the Eagles are to win, RB Murray will have to come alive so it will give QB Bradford more time and space for the Eagles passing game.
