Since 2011, the Chicago Bears have only two playoff appearances. Two of those postseason appearances were produced by Matt Nagy. However, Nagy was fired after the 2021 season. Subsequently, Matt Eberflus went 3-14 and 7-10 in his first two NFL Betting Odds seasons as his replacement. However, Eberflus led a resurgence of the Bears at the end of 2023. But he did it with QB Justin Fields, who was traded soon after the campaign. Now arrives 2024 top overall pick Caleb Williams. Gamblers are wise to ask if Williams is a restart or an upgrade.

2024 Chicago Bears Preview
Last year, the Bears more than doubled their win total, improving from 3-14 in 2022 to 7-10 last season. The Bears appear primed to take another big step in 2024. However, Chicago’s offshore bookmaker hopes to ride on a rookie quarterback.
To show, Chicago’s defense blossomed into one of the stingiest and most opportunistic in the NFL in 2023. Chicago ranked No. 1 against the run after finishing 31st the previous year. Also, they increased their interception total from 14 to 22. The midseason acquisition of defensive end Montez Sweat in a trade with the Commanders keyed the unit’s resurgence. Also, there was the emergence of a playmaking young secondary led by cornerback Jaylon Johnson. Sweat and Johnson both were selected to the first Pro Bowls of their career.
The Bears’ offense was long mired in NFL football betting mediocrity. However, it has the potential to be more explosive than any in franchise history since the 1940s. At the onset, rookie quarterback Caleb William will be surrounded by talent. Including one of the league’s most formidable receiving trios in veterans DJ Moore and Keenan Allen and rookie first-round choice Rome Odunze.
Accordingly, in the final stages of a comprehensive rebuild, the Bears should contend for a playoff berth in 2024. There’s an abundance of optimism in Chicago that a team that has not won a playoff game since the 2010 season. Correlate gamblers and NFL analysts believe that the arrow is pointing up.
Management has been lauded for its reconstruction of the roster. Especially a 2023 blockbuster trade in which he dealt the No. 1 pick to the Panthers in exchange for Moore and a bevy of draft picks. While Carolina chose quarterback Bryce Young at No. 1, they used the deal to select Wright, Stevenson, Williams, and Taylor. Additionally, they still have a 2025 second-round pick in their pocket.
