Chiefs Release Larry Johnson NFL Betting Lines

NFL betting lines have seen the Kansas City Chiefs get very little respect this season. That probably won’t change in football odds even though the team did release one of the major problems in running back Larry Johnson. NFL betting lines had the Chiefs covering the spread this past week against Jacksonville.  The latest news regarding Kansas City had them getting rid of former Pro Bowl running back Larry Johnson.  The Chiefs had suspended Johnson for this past week’s game in NFL betting lines for disparaging remarks he made that questioned head coach Todd Haley.  There was really not much question that Johnson had made his last impact on Kansas City NFL betting lines.  NFL betting lines last week had the fans in Kansas City petitioning to have Johnson cut from the team and their wishes came true on Monday when the Chiefs got rid of Johnson.

The question in football odds now becomes whether another team will take a chance on the troubled running back. Football odds information showed that Johnson was just 75 yards away from breaking the Kansas City all-time rushing record which is held by Priest Holmes.  Now Kansas City fans don’t have to worry about that happening.  Johnson was somewhat relieved at the release. “A part of him is excited and a part of him is very regretful,” Johnson’s agent Peter Schaffer said to the AP. “There’s a lot of feelings going on right now. It’s analogous to breaking up with a girlfriend. Maybe you saw it coming, but it still hurts when it happens.”

Johnson has really not made an impact on NFL betting lines since 2006.  He has averaged only 2.7 yards per carry this NFL betting lines season.  Jamaal Charles had taken over the role of top running back this season for Kansas City. Johnson was benched last NFL betting lines year as well after violating team rules.  Whether or not a team wants to add a problem running back is the question that will be answered in the next couple of weeks in football odds. Last year Johnson had just 874 yards and was more of a hindrance to Kansas City in NFL betting lines than a help.

NFL betting lines stats indicated that Johnson finishes his Kansas City career with 5,996 yards rushing and 55 touchdowns. He also caught 151 passes for 1,369 yards and six TDs as NFL betting lines statistics show.
