Eagles and Cowboys Top NFL Week 9 Schedule

At the onset, Week 9 opens with a pair of teams on the brink of playoff contention that could end up in the red. The Pittsburgh Steelers will host the Tennessee Titans in an AFC matchup of teams on edge. Last year, the Titans flopped miserably to finish 7-10. A popgun offense with poor quarterback play was a big NFL betting odds reason why. Head coach Mike Vrabel is one of the most respected in the NFL. But Vrabel had little to work with, especially on the offensive side of the football.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill was a first-round pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2012. In his career, he has been off more than on. But in 2019, he caught lightning in a sportsbook bottle and led the Titans to the AFC Championship Game. After cashing in with a huge contract, Tannehill has gone steadily downhill. Last year was the final straw for Tannehill. The Titans finished 7-10 and out of the playoffs. As a result, Tennessee shopped for a new QB.

On Opening Night of the 2023 NFL Draft, Will Levis was all dressed up with nowhere to go. Indeed, the Pro football betting odds humiliation was total. As was the social media hate. Levis was ripped for being one of the biggest frauds on the board. In turn, his stunning girlfriend stole the show.

Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Steelers went through the fire of 2022 with a rookie quarterback, Kenny Pickett. But at the end of the season, head coach Mike Tomlin led the Men of Steel to a 9-8 record. The strong finish sparked hopes for a playoff bid in 2023.

The late Sunday window offers fans and gamblers one of the season’s best and most meaningful matchups. Specifically, the Philadelphia Eagles will host the Dallas Cowboys in an NFC East Division showdown. Dallas is coming off a lousy playoff season with a loss to the San Francisco 49ers. But the Cowboys believe they have enough to get to the Super Bowl. By contrast, in 2022, Philadelphia proved they are a Super Bowl-caliber franchise. But a repeat appearance will be a supreme challenge.
