Stock Up on Eagles?
So far, the Eagles look like offseason online wagering dominators. Amid several significant departures, Philadelphia drafted well and signed key players in free agency. Including C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Bryce Huff, Devin White and DeVante Parker.
Gamblers do not know how the Eagles continue to do it. They lost Kevin Byard and D’Andre Swift this offseason. However, Byard was not as impactful as they hoped he would. Also, they replaced Swift with Saquon Barkley. Further, the Eagles added C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Bryce Huff, Devin White and DeVante Parker.
Adding to the significant Eagle departures were Fletcher Cox and Jason Kelce retiring. However, the Eagles dominated the draft again, grabbing Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean to attack their biggest roster need. As mentioned earlier, Philadelphia spiraled at the end of 2023. Now the Eagles have the foot on the gas for 2024.
Most gamblers believe that the Eagles should win 11 or 12 games this NFL betting odds season. Cause by the depth and personnel being improved. The experience level indeed took a hit with the retirements of Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox.
In addition, the coaching, with the addition of two assertive, respected coordinators, Vic Fangio and Kellen Moore, is an upgrade. The schedule, despite an early bye, is more favorable than not. Everything appears right for the Eagles to win the NFC East for the second time in three years. Most important of all they should make a deep playoff push.
Still problematic is whether head coach Nick Sirianni can return to the coach he was. To show, Philadelphia got off to a combined 18-1 start over the first eight games in 2022 and the first 11 in 2023. Thus, Siriani is 34-17 in his first three years. That record has more victories than any previous Eagles coach in that time frame.
