Embarrassed Vikings Face More NFL Betting Misery Against Rams

Minnesota Vikings vs. Los Angeles Rams

For one thing there are no sure things when it comes to NFL betting.   Certainly, Minnesota backers learned that painfully last week when the Vikings went down to Buffalo.  Account of Minnesota being a 16.5-point home favorite in a 27-6 home loss to the Bills shocked all.  Now the Vikings have a much more difficult assignment.  A clear difference exists between the Rams and Buffalo Bills.  Cause by that fact makes Los Angeles the chalk Thursday night.  In the same way Minnesota may prove to be much more valuable now.  Starting with the fact that the public will avoid them.

Vikings vs. Rams TV Coverage:  FOX and NFL Network

Minnesota Vikings

Following last week’s debacle against Buffalo the Vikings are 1-1-1 straight up.  Additionally, Minnesota has covered the NFL betting line only once this year.  A long injury list has not helped the cause.  But worst of all the Vikings have not been able to generated a reliable ground attack.  In fact, they rank 31st in the NFL for rushing yardage.  At the beginning of the season Minnesota was a trendy pick to make a Super Bowl run.  Now they are merely trying to get into playoff shape.  The loss to Buffalo was an inexcusable stink bomb.

Los Angeles Rams

Alternatively, the Rams are in excellent and compete form.  Los Angeles has an offshore betting record of 3-0 both straight up and against the spread.  And two of their three games have gone under the total.  Fashion an impressive 35-23 win over the Chargers last week.  Immediately catching eyes are the Rams metrics.  For example, LA ranks third overall in the NFL for total and scoring offense.  Also, the Rams defense has allowed the fewest points in the league.

Jared Goff+96

Most of all Jared Goff has emerged as one of the elite quarterbacks in football.  Goff has a 111.0 quarterback rating with six touchdown passes and just two picks.  More emphatically last year’s surprise playoff appearance is proven to be no fluke.  Many gamblers felt that the Rams were a surprise flash for 2017.  Nevertheless, they now have the look of a contender here to stay.

Team vs. Team

Minnesota has not been a reliable road dog in recent games.  Namely the Vikings have lost four of their last five vs. the line in that role.  While seven of their last nine as away pups went under the total.  Contrarily the Rams have been a solid value as home chalks as of late.  To show LA has paid in four of their last five in that situation.  Just one of their last seven as home favorites have gone over the total.  Minnesota has dominated the cashier’s cage in their series with the Rams.  As a matter of fact, the Vikings have covered the last five meetings.

Matchup to Watch

Part of NFL betting success is fading the public. Namely most gamblers will gravitate to the Rams here.  To this end the Vikings may have enhanced value.
