February 18th, 2020 NFL Football Betting Online Odds

This past Monday, the 8th of Dec. 2014 we saw the last of the NFL Week 14 games as the now 5-8 Atlanta Falcons (1st NFC South) made an all out offensive effort to beat the now 10-3 Green Bay Packers (1st NFC North). However, the Packers survived and won the game 43–7 as Packers QB Rodgers and RB Lacey helped Green Bay to gain a big lead, then defensively hold off Atlanta.

The scoring in the game was somewhat unusual as the both teams scored 7 points in the 1st quarter, then the Packers scored the only 24 points of the 2nd quarter, thus the game went to half-time at 31-24. In the 3rd the Falcons scored 10 points, while Packers had a 3 point FG, then in the 4th quarter the Falcons scored 20 points to the Packers 9 points, but that was not enough to get the victory for Atlanta.

It also was a close game statistically as the Packers had 28-1st downs to the Falcons 26-1st downs, 67 total plays to Falcons 64 plays, 502 total yards to Falcons 465. Then GB had 323 passing and 179 rushing yards, to Falcons 374 passing and 91 rushing yards. Green Bay had no turnovers in the game, while Atlanta had 1 interception.

This win was the fifth straight win for the Packers now 10-3, and allowed Green Bay to stay one game up on the Detroit Lions in the NFC North division, and now are tied with Arizona for the NFL’s NFC-best record. It was not an easy game for Green Bay as they thought their defense had worked out all its problems, and they nearly blew their 24 point half time lead over the Falcons.

Their major problems was Falcons QB Ryan and star WR Jones to make a strong showing, as QB Ryan passed for 375 yards on 24 of 39 completions, with some 11 receptions by WR Jones for 259 total yards in the game and 1 TD, who also left the game with a hip injury.

Packers QB Rodgers had another great game as he passed for 3 touchdowns and had no interception in what was his 100th career start. Two of the Packers RB’ also had a good game as RBs Lacy and Starks together combined for 179 rushing yards with each scoring a TD, and that was their seasons best rushing yardage for a single game. Receiver Nelson who holds the NFL record this season for touchdowns of over 50 yards, and in this game had 8 receptions for 146 yards and 2 touchdowns, with his longest in game was for 60 yards.
